Attorney Taker Program

Our Attorney Taker Programs are comprehensive, but flexible and tailored to the unique needs and time constraints of the working lawyer. We have prepared partners and associates throughout the country for the California bar exam since 1999 (including serving the New York based law firm of Wachtel, Lipton, Rosen and Katz).

Bar None Review understands that your time is valuable and limited. We work out a program tailored to your specific needs. Your personalized program takes into account developing a study plan that will work into your schedule.

Attorney Takers enjoy a 90% pass rate on the California Bar Exam

As an attorney taker, you will enjoy a pass rate of 90% or above if you follow a majority of the assignments. This holds true for Attorney Takers that work full time, have been licensed a couple of years to Attorney Takers who are 20 plus years out from their last bar exam.

“Dear Bar None Review and Lisa Duncanson,
One of the best decisions I have made in my legal career was to take your program for attorney takers. I had already taken Barbri and failed. With my job on the line, I decided to look for something else. Your program was recommended to me by a colleague at my firm. He was a former student of yours and told me I had to take Bar None Review. By far, the best bar prep, bar none!” – Natasha F. Esq.

“I just got my bar results and I passed the February 2015 bar exam. I just wanted to say “thank you.” I am an attorney taker and could not have done it (after 25 years!) without your Cram SessionTM. Thank you for all that you do for California attorney’s to be!” – Lisa S. Esq.

As an attorney who has successfully taken a bar exam in another jurisdiction, you know the rigors of studying for a bar exam. The California bar exam is one of the most challenging in the nation. Bar None Review has successfully prepared attorneys from all over the country as well as foreign attorneys licensed in Mexico and Europe.

We understand the unique needs of the attorney taker. As a working lawyer, you have limited time available to study. Also, if it has been years since your last bar exam, you will need a different kind of review that takes into account the fact that you may not have studied for a bar exam in some time. In addition, attorney takers often need first time coverage of the California tested material. As an attorney taker, you have likely not taken California Evidence, California Civil Procedure or California Community Property. These are just a few of the topics that we make certain our attorney takers have more time with in order to bridge any gaps in substantive knowledge.

Our Course Materials are Tailored to Your Needs

Our materials cut to the chase. While comprehensive, our outlines, exam writing templates and other course materials, reflect the fact that you are not (in most cases) taking the MBE portion of the bar exam. This means that some of the minutia that is generally reserved for the MBE portion of the exam, can be reviewed in a more limited way.

The focus is on preparing you for the two sections of the Attorney’s Exam – the Essay Section and the Performance Test. The level of detail required for the essays is simply different than what is required for the MBEs. We prepare you for the sections you are taking and make sure that you have the right information in front of you without burdening you with exhaustive outlines that cover much more than you need to worry about. This is one of the reasons our attorney takers are so successful – we put the right information in front of you and make sure that you are focusing on what you really need to know to pass the California bar exam.

All attorney takers have scheduled meetings with Lisa Duncanson, our course founder. In addition, attorney takers have access to our Assistant Program Director (a former Bar None Review student) for additional tutoring. All private sessions are conducted either by phone or via FaceTime. We prepare a study plan that is tailored to your schedule. For example, some of our attorney takers need to take a week or more off from their bar studies to handle a trial. We work around this by capitalizing on the time you do have available and making sure that you make the most of it.

Our attorney taker program is the most comprehensive program in the industry. We offer extensive essay grading and the feedback that you need to write passing essays and performance tests. Bar None Review’s attorney taker program is the ideal combination of live lecture, personal guidance, one-on-one attention and individual home study. In the past, many of our attorney takers flew to Los Angeles to attend our live, Bar Exam Cram Sessions. However, now students can attend the Bar Exam Cram Sessions online, from the comfort of their home or office.
