Comprehensive Bar Review Program
Our Comprehensive Bar Review Program addresses all aspects of the bar exam: Essays, MBEs and the Performance Test. This program is designed for both first time bar exam takers and repeat bar examinees. The course is offered both live and via the web.
The Score MaximizerTM Program
The Score MaximizerTM Program is designed for repeat bar takers. This program is specifically designed for you and your needs so that you are able to focus on the areas that you need to improve the most (while developing and maintaining your strengths). This is especially important for the repeat bar examinee who may have already had a substantive review, but needs to master the actual technique of the exam (this is usually the main reason examinees fail the California bar exam – because they have not been taught how to take the test – how to write an essay for the California bar examiners, how to dissect and approach and write a performance test or to truly master the MBE portion). There are real techniques required for each section of the California bar exam. At Bar None Review, we specialize in teaching these techniques. Students who participate in the Score Maximizer Program will receive individual tutoring, exam grading, a study plan designed for you, access to our online learning center, all course materials (including our Exam Writing Template Book), and personalized, individual attention that will give you the best opportunity to make this next bar round your last.
I just got my scores back from the bar examiners, how do I start the Score Maximizer Program?
The Score Maximizer Program begins with a review of the bar examinee’s past scores, and we review your past bar exam answers. However, your past bar exam answers do not arrive from the bar examiners immediately. It usually takes up to about four weeks for the bar to send you your set of actual test. Therefore, we make our first assessment from your scores and your practice writing that you are assigned. Our students begin making progress immediately.This program is currently available in person or via home study or a combination of both home study and in person session.
Attorney Taker Program
Bar None Review has worked with many attorney takers and has been hired by out of state law firms to conduct review for their in house lawyers preparing for the California bar exam. Our attorney taker program is tailored to the unique needs of an attorney taker. We work with both students who are licensed in other states or who are foreign attorneys taking the California bar exam. Each student’s situation is unique and we work with you accordingly. For example, some of our attorney takers have been out of law school for many years, or have not covered certain California tested topics. Whatever your situation, we work with you, provide you with a review program that will specifically address your needs and give you the best opportunity to pass on your first try. Many of our students continue working during their review and so we maximize your study time so that you are able to achieve the most from your time.
The Writing MaximizerTM Program
Our Writing Maximizer TM Program is geared towards students who are unable to attend our Comprehensive Review Program but still want to focus on their writing and improving their written test scores.
Exam Grading Option - Home Study Option
For students who wish to either supplement their existing bar review program, or who simply only want essays graded, we now offer an exam grading only option. The course fee for this program is $1,000.00 and includes grading of 20 exams. Exams are returned promptly with extensive written feedback. This option is available on a limited basis. Practice essays are provided by Bar None Review. All grading is accomplished online. We apologize, but we no longer accept faxed exams.
Review of Past Bar Exam Essays and Performance Tests
Bar None Review will review your past bar exam essays and performance tests (six essays and two performance tests from your most recent bar exam attempt). Your review will include an analysis of missed issues, your writing style, areas to improve, identification of weaknesses and strengths and as well as an approach and suggested strategies for your next bar exam review. The fee for this service is $300.00. This service is available on a limited basis. It is recommended that you sign up early for this option.
Review of Past Bar Exam Scores – FREE!
Bar None Review provides a free review and interpretation of your past bar exam scores. Because the scoring of the California Bar Exam is scaled it is not easy to understand what a given score means nor is it clear where you will need to focus from numbers alone. Score reviews are available on a first come, first served basis. We do our best to accommodate everyone. To participate, students must submit their past exam score sheet to Bar None Review.
Tutoring Packages
Tutoring packages are available at the following rates:
Hourly: $250.00
10 Hour Tutoring Package - Special Rate: $1,995.00
Additional tutoring packages are available. We will also work with you to create the combination of services that you need to succeed (for example: tutoring for just the Performance Test or Tutoring for just the essays and the MBE and include the appropriate materials for each so that you are paying for only what you need and spending time and effort only on what you need to improve). Please inquire.
Home Study Programs
Bar None Review's Home Study Program is designed for students who are outside of Southern California or who otherwise cannot physically attend our live classes. Every student in the Home Study Program will still receive personal exam grading and mentoring. Students login to our website for online tutorials, instruction and mentoring. Phone and email support is also provided. For an additional fee students may opt for a course of study that begins several months before traditional bar review program.
Online Exam Grading To receive online grading students submit their exams via our website. To upload a practice essay, students save their exam as a Microsoft Word document. Then students simply login to our online learning center and upload their practice exam. Your exam will be graded quickly and you will receive detailed comments and feedback. Once graded, your exam will be uploaded for you so that you can view all of our comments (in color and online). Only you can access your graded exams. If you wish, you may also download and print your graded exams. We are also available to discuss your exams by phone.
Remote Mentoring and Tutoring Regardless of where our students are located, at Bar None Review we care about your progress and we know how much it means to be able to meet with a live person who is interested in your success. As part of the Home Study Program, instructors and tutors will be available online or over the telephone. We pride ourselves on providing what we think every bar course should - quality materials, quality instruction, meaningful exam writing feedback, and personal, one-on-one attention.
The Performance MaximizerTM
Our Performance Maximizer TM prepares students for the Performance Test only. Students who enroll in the Comprehensive Bar Review Program, The Writing Maximizer Program or The Score Maximizer Program will already receive the Performance Test Maximizer as part of their package.
